Finding Peace Amidst The Noise


While watching a movie in the cinema, hearing other audience chattering or munching loudly on snacks can certainly stir up a bit of frustration.

In the past, I often struggled with whether to turn around and ask them to be quiet. But today, I choose to see this as an opportunity to cultivate my wise mind.

In moments of irritation, I remind myself to practice the following:

🌱 Empathize with those who disturbed others — They might lack empathy, self-control, or self-cultivation, which makes them overlook feelings of others.

🌱 Embrace my own mindfulness — While others may not control their behavior, I can manage my anger, choose how to respond, and focus on the movie.

🌱 View unpleasant experiences as mini lessons — I recognize that while I cannot always control my surroundings, I am in control of my feelings and reactions.

Like a monk who remains undisturbed, gracefully maintaining their rhythm while quietly reciting Sutra amid the chaos, I embrace lasting peace.
